Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
1. Overview & Data Controller
This Privacy Policy describes how Carlos Rivera (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operator of carlosrivera.im and associated developer tools, collects, uses, and safeguards information when visitors or autonomous AI agents access our website, machine-readable endpoints, and software packages. For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact [email protected].
2. Cookie-Free Web Analytics
We use self-hosted Umami Analytics to measure aggregate traffic trends. Umami does not use tracking cookies, does not track users across third-party websites, does not generate persistent browser fingerprints, and anonymizes visitor IP addresses. Only aggregate technical metadata (page URL, HTTP referrer, browser type, operating system, and country-level location) is recorded.
3. Email Newsletter Subscriptions
If you voluntarily subscribe to the newsletter on blog articles, your email address is processed by Buttondown (buttondown.com) solely to send new essays written by Carlos Rivera. We never sell, rent, or share subscriber email addresses with advertisers or third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time via the one-click link in every email or by emailing [email protected].
4. Developer Tools & MCP Server Privacy
- MCPWire (
@mcpwire/cli): Establishes encrypted peer-to-peer tunnels between authorized machines so developers and agents can share local MCP tools without opening ports. Local environment variables, API keys, and private credentials stay on your host machine and are never stored centrally. - Folio: Compiles Markdown documents into paginated PDFs locally in the browser via WebAssembly or inside your local MCP runtime without uploading private documents to external storage.
- Public Agent Endpoints (
/llms.txt,/.well-known/mcp): Read-only discovery and content requests require no authentication and collect no personal data beyond standard transient CDN HTTP logs.
5. Your Rights & Contact
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you have voluntarily provided (such as newsletter subscription records) by contacting [email protected]. Verified requests are processed within 15 business days.
